Docdata sees sales rise to over 100 million euros
Docdata, provider of e-commerce services to webshops, saw its 2010 sales rise by 29 percent to 104 million euros. The growth is mainly driven by strong growth in Germany. In the coming year Docdata will also focus on Germany, as well as the United Kingdom and the Benelux. These markets together represent a value of over 120 billion euros.
Docdata delivers commerce, payments and fulfillment services to businesses like Bol.com, Bijenkorf and V & D in the Nederlands and Ebay's Brands4friends and Zalando in Germany. Last quarter the German turnover topped the turnover in the Netherlands. The company does not rule out small acquisitions this year to broaden its range of service offerings.
From the explanation of the figures: "Docdata has realised an organic sales increase of EUR 16.9 million (+36 percent), mainly due to the increased transaction volume. De acquisitie van de activiteiten van de voormalige Dohmen Solutions Groep hebben in 2010 voor 14,3 euro miljoen aan de omzet bijgedragen sinds 16 april 2010”. The acquisition of the activities of the former Dohmen Solutions Group have contributed EUR 14.3 million to the revenue since April 16, 2010.
The risks the company faces are described by: "In the e-commerce market, our customers are in principle not willing to enter into long term contracts. In the event that a customer is acquired, there is almost always a reconsideration of this position with the possibility of losing this customer.”
